Accommodations are available in the residence halls on the UC Davis campus for guests attending the Collective Behavior Conference. Nightly accommodations include lodging and selected meals.

University accommodations are located at Thoreau Hall, an air-conditioned, suite style residence hall complex (please see attached map). Bedrooms have single size beds. Guests will be sharing a bathroom with 2-4 other guests. Facilities provide for a clean comfortable style of accommodations but are a basic amenity type of facility and may not be comparable to guest expectations if they plan to stay in a full service hotel/motel type of accommodations.

Thoreau Hall is located 2 blocks from the main campus (see reverse of this letter for map). Beds are fully made with linen upon your arrival. Fresh towels will be exchanged in your room daily, please note that daily bed making is not provided during your stay. Telephones are installed in each suite, however, you will need a calling card or a prepaid phone card to place long distance calls.

DINING

Selected meals are included in your package (refer to reservation form on selected meals). Meals are professionally prepared and served cafeteria style at the Oxford Circle Dining Commons. The menu offers a wide variety of hot and cold entrees, a vegetarian entree, extensive salad and sandwich bars, soups, fresh fruits, desserts and beverages. Guests are welcome to return for additional servings as often as they wish. Each guest will be issued a Dining Card ($10.00 replacement fee if lost).

PARKING

No parking fees are required at Thoreau Hall, however, if you intend to drive your vehicle on-campus you will be required to purchase a permit for each weekday. Coin operated permit dispensers are located at the entrance to most campus visitor parking lots.
