Job Announcement: Director
Action for Regional Equity (Action!) is a coalition of 15 Massachusetts
organizations that works to produce policies that advance regional equity in
the Commonwealth by dealing with housing, the environment, and
transportation. We are very concerned about unsustainable development
patterns that continue to marginalize communities from access to
opportunity. Action! makes sure that the notion of social and economic
equity is introduced in all of the state's critical conversations
on public policy.

Position Description:
The Director will play the lead role in the coordination and implementation
of Action!'s campaigns around Transit Equity, Open Inclusive Communities,
and Infusing Equity in the Economic Recovery. The Director will work with
Action! organizational leadership, campaign partners, and allies to
implement a 18-month work plan that advances recommendations from recent
research produced by Action! on these issues. The campaigns' priority issues
revolve around transportation investment, housing affordability, workforce
development, environmental justice, and transparency in the investment of
resources intended to guide Massachusetts to
economic recovery.

The Director will be responsible for implementing a range of strategies
including policy and advocacy, research, coalition building and project
management. The Director must be able to lead a multi-issue campaign that
involves players from multiple sectors including community groups,
labor, government officials, and academia.

Annualized salary is in the range from $50,000 to $56,000 with benefits,
dependent on experience.
