Hi all,

The officers of the Grassroots Community and Organizing SIG are pleased 
to announce our full program for the AERA 2009 Annual Meeting. Please 
find the program attached.

Highlights include:

· an invited lecture by Ernesto Cortes of the Industrial Areas 
Foundation and Bob Moses of the Algebra Project, Tuesday from 6:15-8:15, 
with a no-host dinner to follow

· a coffee-house chat for graduate students with senior scholars in the 
field, Wednesday from 8:15-9:30

· an off-site session, “Organizing in a New Political Moment,” a 
conversation with researchers and PICO organizers and leaders, Wednesday 
from 6:00-8:30

We also have a full program of roundtable paper discussions and 
interactive research symposia bringing together senior and junior 
researchers with organizers and leaders in the field. We look forward to 
seeing you in San Diego!
