ARK MAGAZINE
The Ark Magazine, National Organizers Alliance, will be circulating to our
mailing list shortly. It is a look at the opportunities for community
organizing in this moment of electoral discussions and beyond. The magazine
discusses issue campaigns, new registration methods and voter education work
by groups like the Kentucky Pushback Network, Oregon Action, Montana Women
Vote, Iowa CCI, Center for Community Change, Native American Voters
Alliance, NC NARAL Pro-Choice, Georgia Stand-Up, and others as well as tools
and resources. It is a timely reflection on community organizing in the
hothouse of electoral politics.
This is the final issue of the Ark that will be distributed to non-members
on our mailing list. If you are not on that list, you can receive this issue
if you immediately sign up at www.noacentral.org To be sure of receiving
future issues, sign up for membership now.
NATIONAL GATHERING
Just a reminder that scholarships are still available for the NOA National
Gathering VI..
The National Organizers Alliance Gathering VI will be held June 29-July 2 at
the National Labor College in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Community, environmental, housing, and labor organizers from many spectrums
of the movement around the country will come together in the NOA tradition
of sharing and learning, strategizing and building community. We will be
looking back and looking ahead through decades of movement building for
justice, learning from present organizing experiences to build the movement
in the future.
We urge interested folks to look at the web site. You are welcome to apply
