Dear comm-org colleagues,
Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) is excited to release
Achieving the Promise of Authentic Community-Higher Academic
Partnerships: Community Partners Speak Out!, a new report about
community partner perspectives on community-higher education
partnerships. The report is one of many outcomes of the Community
Partner Summit that brought together experienced community partners from
across the U.S. at the Wingspread Conference Center in Racine, Wisconsin
in April 2006. In addition to offering key ingredients and a framework
for authentic community-higher education partnerships, the report
details a vision for these partnerships articulated by the Summit's
community partner participants, along with strategies and
recommendations on how to achieve this vision. The report also describes
the work that has been done by these community partners and CCPH since
the Summit in the areas of peer mentoring, policy development and advocacy.
The report is available as a PDF document on the Community Partner
Summit webpage at

on the site, check out the other Summit publications and resources)
