SOCIAL WORK COMMUNITY OUTREACH SERVICE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

 

    The Social Work Community Outreach Service (SWCOS) of the University 
of Maryland School of Social Work is seeking an Assistant Director.   
SWCOS is a leader in community-university partnerships, training 
graduate students for community practice and social change, and an 
innovator in solving community problems.  The Assistant Director 
oversees field education and direct services, monitors existing programs 
and assists in developing new ones, develops budgets, insures 
accountability, assists in fundraising, and reports to funders.  The 
Assistant Director takes a lead in intern recruitment and support, 
developing placements, supporting Field Instructors, and working with 
the Field Education Department.  Qualifications include MSW with five 
years experience in community practice with diverse populations, 
supervision, administration, strong clinical skills and resource 
development including grantseeking.  Prefer candidate with Social Work 
License.  Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
