Dear colleagues:

I am pleased to announce the recent release of a report I wrote for the
National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy - Strengthening Democracy,
Increasing Opportunities: Impacts of Advocacy, Organizing, and Civic
Engagement in New Mexico.

You can download a pdf of the report from our website at:
http://www.ncrp.org/GCIPNewMexico.asp or purchase hard copies.

As part of NCRP's Grantmaking for Community Impact Project, this report is
the first in a series that will document the impacts of advocacy and
community organizing in regions around the country over the next few years.
NCRP will use the reports as a tool to engage foundation leaders in dialogue
about the value of organizing and advocacy with the goal of increasing
philanthropic resources for community organizations that use these
strategies.

Many organizers and researchers (including Randy S!) were kind enough to
talk with me when I was developing the methodology for this research.
Feedback on the approach and report itself is welcome and appreciated as we
move forward with more of these reports in other states. Please contact me
at my work email address, lranghelli at ncrp.org

Thanks,
