Pose your questions to founder of Colorado Progressive Coalition
From:

Happy August everyone!
Seeing as though this group focuses on community organizing, I thought
that members might be interested in a few items over at a blog I
maintain, the Movement Vision Lab <http://www.movementvisionlab.org> .
The Movement Vision Lab focuses on provocative, visionary ideas for the
future on a range of issues, from immigration to healthcare to arts to
the economy.
1. William Vandenberg, founder and former director of the Colorado
Progressive Coalition and currently fund manager for the Open Society
Institute, will be taking questions from those interested in community
organizing. Bill has a lot of wisdom to offer on how to build a
multi-issue and multi-racial statewide collaborative, on how to prepare
an organization for the depature of a founding director, on what it
means to go from raising money to giving it out, and MUCH more. Now's
your chance to ask the questions you've always wanted answered from
someone who's made the transition from organizer to funder. Register at
the Movement Vision Lab <http://www.communitychange.org/join_form> and
post your question as a comment. READ MORE HERE

2. Also, we have a regular podcast series featuring stories from
community organizers across the county and their vision for a better
future for all of us. Our latest podcast features Tammy Greaton, an
organizer for the Center for Community Change
<http://www.communitychange.org/our-projects/movementvisionlab/blog/mvl-
podcast-tammy-greaton-center-for-community.mp3/view> . Often,
organizers are busy helping communities find their own voices, but
rarely share their own. How do everyday people like Tammy become
organizers? In this podcast, Tammy shares her story and lays out her
vision for a better, brighter future for all of us. If you have iTunes,

.
I'm excited to be a part of this community, and hopefully some of the
projects in which I'm participating will spark some discussion in this
group.
Look forward to discussing with you all,
