The Charlottesville Public Housing Association of Residents (PHAR) is
hiring a part-time organizer (approximately 20 hours/week, possibly more
in the future).  PHAR's mission is to empower local low-income residents
to protect and improve their communities through collective action.  The
organizer will be responsible for recruiting and supporting leaders,
running issues campaigns and increasing the participation of low-income
people in policy-making related to affordable housing, gentrification,
public housing operation and preservation and economic self-sufficiency.
