The Charlottesville Public Housing Association of Residents (PHAR) is
hiring a part-time (15 hours/week) organizer.  This position may expand
to 20-25 hours in the future.  PHAR's mission is to empower low-income
residents to protect and improve their communities through collective
action.  The organizer will be responsible for recruiting and supporting
leaders, running issues campaigns and increasing the participation of
low-income people in policy-making related to affordable housing,
gentrification, public housing operation and preservation and economic
self-sufficiency.
