Associate Director

The Hawaii Alliance for Community Based Economic Development (HACBED) a
statewide nonprofit is accepting applications for the position of Associate
Director.  The associate director is a senior leadership position in a small
and dynamic organization.  The associate director will be expected to
actively collaborate with the executive director and board in setting and
implementing the work of HACBED. HACBED's primary work involves: 1.
Identifying and supporting the development of grass roots leaders and
organizations working to implement community based economic ventures and
asset building projects;  2. Working with and collaborating on community
organizing and policy advocacy; 3.  Facilitating community based planning
efforts.

Optimal candidates will have at least 5-7 years of increasing management
experience in a community development/nonprofit environment with strong oral
and writing skills.  Candidates should have facilitation or organizational
development background, and public policy experience a plus.  Salary range
from $50,000 to $60,000 annually commensurate with experience.  .  To
