Hello COMM-ORG,

Your editor/moderator here,

At long last, I have caught up on the 2006 backlog of papers. I am very
pleased to announce the final two COMM-ORG 2006 papers:

The papers, from Just Associates, are:

Citizen Action, Knowledge and Global Economic Power: Intersections of
Popular Education, Organizing, and Advocacy

by Lisa VeneKlasen and Darshana Patel

and

Strategic Opportunity or Black Hole? Assessing Policy Spaces to Advance
Women's Rights

by Lisa VeneKlasen

"Citizen Action, Knowledge and Global Economic Power" reports the
results of an international workshop exploring how to democratize
international economic policy and practice, with stories of those
working on the ground. It is illustrative in its focus on finding both
a common language and diverse strategies.

"Strategic Opportunity or Black Hole?" is similarly international, but
with a focus on women's issues.

You can find the papers at the COMM-ORG "Papers" page, in the 2006 section:

Please reload the page if you do not see the links.

I hope that the papers inspire some discussion. Authors contribute
papers to COMM-ORG in the hopes of getting comments, so please feel
welcomed to contact Lisa directly, or discuss these papers through the list.

Thanks so much to Just Associates for contributing this work.
