I'm a doctoral student and graduate research assistant at the
Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason
University in Arlington, VA.  I'm searching for communities
that have experienced conflict, have resolved the conflict within the
community (without mediation from outside the community), and have
used the knowledge and skills gained from the resolution process to
respond to other conflicts.  If you know of any such communities,
can think of any that are potential candidates, or know someone I
should contact with this request, I'd be very grateful if you
could pass on that information to me.  If it helps to know, one of
the communities we've identified is Crown Heights in Brooklyn.
