Hi everyone,
         My name is Ellen Roggemann and I am a senior at Occidental
College.  I am writing my senior paper on why mass-bassed grassroots
organizations get involved in electoral politics (specifically ballot
initiatives) and how that involvement affects the organizaton.  I am
looking for:

1.  Examples of mass-bassed grassroots organizations that attempted to
use ballot initiatives to build their organization (both successfully
and unsuccessfully)

2.  Reading on the subject
