Health Care Team Leader
Principal Responsibilities:
	*	Lead a staff team that will design and implement a long-term strategy
to increase the voice and impact of lower income communities in the
health care debate.
	*	Develop and maintain relationships with community-based organizations,
organizing networks, national policy groups, and resource providers.
	*	Manage the health care project work plan and budget.
	*	Prepare monthly reports and other progress assessments.
	*	Participate in the performance evaluation of team members.
	*	Work in partnership with the CCC Development Department to market the
project to funders and donors.
	*	Attend Organizing Unit staff meetings; team leader meetings; and CCC
staff meetings.
	*	Participate in other organizational projects and teams as assigned by
the Lead Organizer or the Deputy Executive Director for Organizing.
	*	Maintain an appropriate balance between the strategy of the health
care team, the goals of the Organizing Unit, and the broader mission of
the Center for Community Change.
	*	This position reports to the Deputy of Operations in the Organizing
Unit.


Qualifications:
Required
	*	Broad strategic vision that encompasses base-building,
coalition-building, public policy, communications, and collective action.
	*	Strong commitment to building the political power of the poor,
particularly people of color.
	*	Familiarity with grassroots organizing and campaign methodologies.
	*	Strong team-building, facilitation, and coalition-building skills.
	*	Strong written and oral communication skills.
	*	Experience and comfort working in a multi-disciplinary and
multi-cultural environment.
	*	Capacity and willingness to travel frequently.

Strongly preferred
	*	Prior experience with health care issues and health care organizations.
	*	Extensive field experience in community organizing.
