Hello,
I run a consulting company, Creative Narrations, that works with
community based organizations to use video, photography, and the
internet as organizing and community building tools. You can see some
of the work we've done at www.creativenarrations.net
A few good examples I know of that we've either worked on directly or
indirectly are the following.
Close to Home, a grassroots organization in Dorchester, MA working on
issues of domestic violence. They use digital stories as an organizing
tool at house and civic meetings. www.c2home.org
The Better Questions, Better Decisions Voter Education Initiative has
used a series of digital stories (DVD and web-based) produced by adult
education students in New Hampshire and Arizona for voter education and
organizing.

North End Outreach Network, based in the North End of Springfield, MA,
this group has used videos and digital stories as part of neighborhood
outreach and organizing efforts.

The Dream Act: Dream Deferred, GOALS, a courageous group of high school
students from East Boston, is organizing for access to higher
education, and fighting for the future of immigrant youth. Jenny
Alexander, producer and director, has worked with youth groups in
organizing efforts around the Dream Act Campaign with this video.

Third World Majority based in Berkeley uses digital media for a number
of media justice campaigns.
