One of my bibles for many things organizing is Organizing for 
Social Change produced by the Midwest Academy, Published by 
Seven Locks.  Whole chapter called Support for Organization 
includes Controlling Your Work: Administrative Systems; Working 
for the Long Haul.   I've attached a copy of the index which I got 
from Amazon which has 25 pages available to check out.  The 
Midwest Academy website, very worthwhile, is 
www.midwestacademy.com.  The Academy provides great training.  

I'd love to know more of what you discover.

This four quadrant view of time management is taken from Stephen Covey's
book First Things First, which I highly recommend. It lays out the best time
management approach I've seen and includes developing a personal mission
statement, identifying the various roles and goals in your life, using these
in a weekly planning and assessment sessions, as well as using the four
quadrant perspective mentioned below to determine what is most relevant to
focus on during your week.
