TAKE ACTION - Block Proposed Tax Cuts for Millionaires!

1. ACORN FIGHTS TAX CUTS, DEMANDS ECONOMIC STIMULUS - ACORN members in key
states, including Florida, Louisiana, Arkansas, Ohio, Minnesota, and New
Mexico, are pressuring Congress Members to oppose the President's proposed
tax cuts for millionaires, and instead support a plan for real economic
stimulus, that would include restoring value to the minimum wage, providing
fiscal relief to states, expanding Medicaid and Unemployment Insurance,
creating a National Housing Trust Fund, and increasing money for the Low
Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). In addition, ACORN will be
joining with hundreds of other organizations in a coalition opposing the tax
cuts. ACORN National President Maude Hurd will speak at the official launch
of this campaign in Washington on February 12. For more information, link
