Hi COMM-ORG. Your moderator here.
As the U.S. government keeps pushing toward war, I need your
advice on how to handle peace/anti-war organizing on the list.
I have been trying to send messages that focusing on organizing
issues related to the impending war directly to the list. I know that
national issue organizing can be very different from community
organizing. On the other hand, perhaps that is exactly why we
should be paying careful attention to this issue, as other national
issues have been lost at least partly because of the lack of a
community organizing strategy.
Messages that only annouce peace/anti-war events I have been
sending through the announcements list.
I don't know, however, how much this fits with all your preferences.
Please let me know your thoughts and positions on this. If you wish
your response to go to the list, please let me know. Otherwise I will
just report general responses back to the list.
Thanks,
Randy Stoecker
