POLICY ANALYST
The Community Service Society of New York is seeking a labor market 
policy
analyst to conduct research and engage in advocacy efforts related to
low-wage workers and the working poor.  Responsibilities include 
monitoring
legislative developments, engaging in research, developing policy
positions, and advocating for changes that address the needs of low-
income
New Yorkers.

An ideal candidate would either have a Ph.D. in economics, sociology,
public policy or related field or a Master's Degree with at least three (3)
years of experience in labor market research.  Expertise with major 
labor
market policy issues, data sources, and research methods a must.
Familiarity with SPSS and other data analysis software required.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the 
ability
to interact effectively with technical staff at government statistical
agencies, other advocates, and policy makers are a prerequisite.
