query: lobbying coalition politics

A favor for the list.  Some D.C. activists have put together a very 
large, coalition for congressional lobbying  and asked me if I had 
any idea of how big such coalitons have grown in the past.    Any 
hints on how to find out such information would be greatly 
appreciated.
