Shelterforce's latest issue:
The Future of Affordability and more
http://www.nhi.org/online/issues/sf120.html
For-profit housing developers watch trends like hawks - nonprofit
developers and advocates should do the same. Eric Belsky of the Joint
Center for Housing Studies outlines four major trends for the coming
decade that will affect neighborhood revitalization work. Also in this
issue: the insurance industry and community reinvestment (they act like
banks, but aren't covered by CRA - what can we do?), why smart growth
and affordable housing aren't mutually exclusive, and a labor-community
coalition in San Jose that is making great strides.
