The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), a non-profit
consumer-advocacy organization, is seeking an experienced policy
advocate. The advocate will work on a variety of health and environmental
projects, developing activities aimed at influencing government policies
and corporate practices. This will involve coalition-building with local
and national citizens groups, organizing grassroots campaigns, and public
education. The campaigns will focus on agricultural uses of antibiotics,
nutrition, and environmental effects of the American diet, among other issues.
This is a full-time position for someone with at least five years
experience. Demonstrated experience with environmental, health, or other
citizens groups' grassroots campaigns are highly desirable. Strong
verbal/written, strategizing, and organizing skills are required for
success in this position. Salary commensurate with experience.
