This is an action alert from the Chicago Coalition for the 
Homeless:

We are looking for letters of support to Mayor Daley on a day 
labor ordinance.  We are recommending that several items be 
added to a proposed ordinance on day labor agencies so that 
it is more helpful to the day labor workers.  A fact sheet and a 
sample letter are attached. We are trying to get the letters 
back very quickly (before august 8th) so that we can deliver 
them to the Mayor's office.  Please send your letter directly to 
the Chicago Coalition for the Homeles, not to the Mayor's 
office. Letters should go to:
