hello, I am planning a workshop on community organizing in relation to 
HIV/AIDS prevention (not treatment) -- does anyone know of good case 
studies and/or organizing guides specific to this topic?  community 
organizing experiences i should be sure not to miss?  Your suggestions are 
very welcome!

One good resource I have found, if anyone else is doing research on this 
topic, is an article by Dan Wolfheimer on the STOP AIDS group in San 
Francisco, in Meredith Minkler's (ed.) excellent book "Community Organizing 
and Community Building for Health" (from Rutgers Press, 1999 I think).
