announcements: elections

Hi COMM-ORG.  I am still trying to avoid getting COMM-ORG bogged down in election discussion.  However, I have posted two sets of messages/calls to action on the COMM-ORG Announcements Page if you wish to view them.

I do heartily welcome community organizing discussions related to the election, but to my knowledge the only election campaigning with community organizing component that I have seen has been through the New Party.  It looks like their web site (http://www.newparty.org) is offline, hopefully just temporarily unless some tragedy has befallen them. If it has, someone please let us know.
