Is anyone aware of organizing/activism initiatives around preservation of
the Violence Against Women Act?  The Supreme Court's decision as to its
constitutionality will be handed down later this spring, and we're looking
for other folks around the country who are working to raise community
consciousness about VAWA and the need for a federal civil remedy, press for
reauthorization of the Act by Congress, etc.  I'd be especially interested
in non-tokenistic feminist organizing across races, driven by a local or
state organization or coalition.
