Position Available:
Director
The Training Intstitue for Careers in Organizing (TICO) in New York City
seeks Director to run training and technical assistance program in
community organizing, oversee appenticeship program, classroom trainings
and recruitment weekend.
TICO is NYC's organizing center committed to expanding the pool of
skilled community organizers for grassroots social and economic justice
groups.  TICO runs a twelve week apprenticeship program in community
organizing twice a year and conducts extensive skills and technical
trainings for community based organizations in NYC.
Based on experience, the Director will share responsibilities with
current staff.  Must have prior organizing training experience as well
as community and/or labor organizing experience, computer and
administrative skills, grant-writing and some Spanish.  Salary $27-34K
