[Cbrnet] Getting ready for ASA in Philadelphia

Hi All

I second (or third?) Lynet's and Lorraine's suggestion. I've been intending
to attend the SRCA conferences but I get to feeling so booked up (and broke)
that I haven't made it yet, but just given what I 've heard from folks who
do attend this would definitely be a great link for us CBR folks. It seems
like the best home for us in the big APA ocean. Somehow or other I'd figure
out a way to get there!

Randy and others,
As another member of SCRA I would second what Lynet is suggesting. I am
also a member of a task force of SCRA that is working on developing our
interdisciplinary linkages and making our organization more
interdisciplinary (or multidisciplinary or perhaps even
transdisciplinary).

The Society for Community Research and Action is primarily made up of
Community Psychologists, but we are open to anyone whose work is focused
on
community research and action. We involve people who are primarily
practitioners or scholars and try to make our organization "affordable."
We
currently have community organizers, anthropologists, urban planners,
sociologists, psychologists, social workers, and health educators in our

midst.

Lorraine
