I read the post on comm-org about Republican National Convention
protest preparations and it didn't have the Still We Rise march and rally
on Monday August 30th. This exciting massive mobilization focuses on
economic justice issues (housing/homelessness, AIDS/healthcare,
welfare reform, immigration and civil rights/criminal justice) and is being
led by community organizat ions working in low-income communities in
NYC (check out the membership list below--its impressive).

On August 30th, 2004--during the Republican National Convention...

Still We Rise is meeting at 2:00 p.m. at Union Square Park(with 2
smaller feeder marches starting at 12 in Brooklyn across the Brooklyn
Bridge and at 4:00 at the harlem state office building)

We are marching to Times Square for a 5:30 p.m. rally.

Still We Rise holds general meetings every first Thursday of the month
at 6 :00 p.m. The next one will be June 3rd, 6:00 p.m. at Picture the
Homeless, 170 East 116th Street 6 train to 116th Street/Lexington Ave.

Still We Rise consists of:

NYC AIDS Housing Network (NYCAHN), Families United for Racial and
Economic Equality (FUREE), Housing Works, Latino Commission on
AIDS, Pratt Area Comm unity Council (PACC), FIERCE!, Picture the
