CONFERENCE ON CHICAGO RESEARCH AND PUBLIC POLICY FACT SHEET

Purpose: The Conference on Chicago Research and Public Policy will provide an opportunity for participants to gain an understanding of policy in their field and other policy arenas. It will provide a chance for policy makers to become familiar with community leaders, researchers, and other institutional representatives addressing key policy issues in Chicago.

Who should participate: Government officials, foundation representatives, community organization leaders, civic association leaders, private researchers, institutional researchers, academics, students, and others interested in Chicago public policy.

Topics: Sessions include welfare reform, art in communities, media, housing, economic development, race relations, regionalism, funding public policy, public safety, community organizing, health policy, history, transportation, communications, diversity, community based research, education, natural resources, and others. Also featured are demonstrations of research and advocacy software such as GIS, SPSS, HUD 2020, and others.

Where: Loyola University Lakeshore Campus.

Most session will take place in Damen Hall. Plenary will take place at Galvin auditorium. Reception will take place at Crown Center.
