The Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit that
uses design and art to increase civic engagement among historically
underrepresented communities. CUP is looking for new advocacy partners
for its Making Policy Public series, a six- to ten-month long
collaborations between CUP staff, a designer and a group advocating for
community change. Through an intensive collaboration the program leads
to the creation of fold-out posters that use graphic design to explore
and explain public policy. Making Policy Public publications contribute
to policy wins and more effective public participation for advocacy
groups from longshore workers to juveniles who have been arrested.
