NCRP is seeking a new field director. A detailed job description can be

Here is a summary of the job requirements:

The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy (NCRP) is currently
seeking qualified candidates for the position of Field Director to oversee
the planning and implementation of campaigns to make philanthropy more
responsive to lower-income communities, communities of color and other
marginalized groups. The Field Director reports directly to the Executive
Director and is part of a management team working to advance the goals of
the organization.

The Field Director will supervise directly two highly-skilled full-time
staff members, plus interns. S/he also will work closely with other NCRP
management team members, including the Communications Director, the
Development Director, and the Research and Policy Director. The total staff
comprises currently 11 full-time employees. Major responsibilities include:
. Increasing NCRP's membership among leaders of foundations and nonprofits
who share NCRP's vision for philanthropy;
. Securing new endorsements for NCRP's Criteria for Philanthropy at Its
. Coordinating field outreach for NCRP's Grantmaking for Community Impact
. Ensuring a robust field presence for NCRP in the field and at nonprofit
and philanthropic conferences;
. Engaging membership in meaningful ways to advance NCRP's mission;
. Planning and executing campaigns that strategically advance NCRP's overall
programmatic goals and that specifically seek commitments from individual

The ideal candidate is an experienced organizer or advocate with at least 7
years experience working in the nonprofit or philanthropic sectors. S/he is
a proactive, flexible team player with the following qualifications:
. Demonstrated track record of successful campaign planning and execution
(e.g. community organizing campaigns, issue advocacy campaigns and/or
political or electoral campaigns);
. Demonstrated track record of successful recruitment of members to an
organization or engagement of diverse constituents in pursuit of common
. Demonstrated understanding of philanthropy from experience as a
grantmaker, grant-seeker or consultant in the field;
. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
. Proven ability to supervise, train and mentor other staff;
. Excellent oral and written communication skills;
. Ability to travel frequently and to represent the organization in a
variety of settings;
. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of the MS Office Suite; and,
. Commitment to NCRP's progressive vision of philanthropy as a means of
advancing social and economic justice.
