Dear friends…

The Don’t Waste LA Coalition is a group of nearly 30 organizations
committed to ensuring that the waste and recycling system serving LA’s
businesses and large apartment complexes is a source of clean air, green
jobs and recycling for all.

At Thursday night’s City of Justice Awards dinner, sponsored by the Los
Angeles Alliance for New Economy (LAANE), the coalition premiered this
short video. Please watch (it’s only 60 seconds!), comment – and pass
along far and wide through you e-mail lists, Facebook, courier, Pony
Express, etc.

You’ll be hearing a lot more about the Don’t Waste LA campaign in
upcoming months. This is one of the most important progressive campaigns
in the country – bringing enviros, labor, community activists, public
health advocates, and others together.

I’m proud to serve on LAANE’s board. Description: LAANELogo.gif It is
the most impressive progressive labor-communityh-faith-enviro organizing
group in the nation. To learn more, look here: http://www.laane.org

Please spread the word about this important campaign that will set a new
standard and shape policy around the country.
