CASE: Central Arizonans for a Sustainable Economy

Job Opportunity:  Research Analyst

 

Central Arizonans for a Sustainable Economy (CASE) is looking for a 
Research Analyst.  CASE is a new nonprofit organization dedicated to 
improving conditions for working families in the Phoenix-metropolitan 
area.  We bring together labor, community, academic, and political 
allies to foster economic opportunity and social change. CASE uses 
policy, research, and organizing to achieve our goals.  We are committed 
to sustainable development and believe that quality jobs are the 
backbone of a healthy and vibrant community.

 

The Research Analyst will be responsible for performing in-depth 
corporate research using a variety of public and private sources, 
analyzing and interpreting industry, regulatory and financial data, and 
working with campaign leadership to develop and execute tactics and 
strategies.  The Research Analyst will be expected to develop expertise 
in certain key local industries, conduct research on zoning and planning 
in the Valley, interact with worker organizing and contract campaigns, 
and work with staff from labor, community affiliates and elected 
leaders. Travel will be required.

 


Job Qualifications:
-BA degree or higher (coursework in economics, statistics, urban 
planning, financial analysis or law preferred).
-Experience with union organizing or collective bargaining campaigns a plus.
-Experience conducting financial and corporate research.
-Strong technical research skills.
-Familiarity with database software.
-Excellent writing ability.
-Excellent quantitative, analytic and people skills.
-Experience with financial analysis or financial statements.
-Strong commitment to progressive social change and activist experience.

-Ability to travel; at times travel will be extensive.
