POSITION: Community Organizing Director

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop strategies and strategic analysis for CAAAELII’s civic 
engagement programs

* Coordinate action campaigns bringing together different ethnic communities

* Manage issues and demands, provide meaningful opportunities for 
different ethnic communities to work together

* Carry out multiple actions and campaigns at the same time

* Submit grant reports and proposals on time

* Coordinate actions and campaigns with the CAAAELII leadership team

* Administer a budget for maximum impact.

* Represents CAAAELII in conferences, and special events

* Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

* 10 or more years experience in community or labor organizing

* Track-record of running successful grassroots organizing campaigns

* Proven ability to identify and develop grassroots leaders

* Deep understanding of culturally appropriate methods for engagement

* Commitment to social justice and immigrant rights

* Strong interpersonal, facilitation and management skills

* Strong oral presentation and writing skills

* Flexible working hours including evenings and weekends

* Demonstrate integrity and stability of performance under pressure

* Reliable transportation required
