June 30, 2006 - A Concert by M.U.G.A.B.E.E. (Men Under Guidance Acting 
Before Early
Extinction) from Jackson, Mississippi kicks off the Southern Empowerment 
Project's 20th Anniversary. Location is Alcoa, Tennessee. 7 pm, 
Pellissippi State Community College. Tickets are $15 and can be 
purchased on the SEP web site, www.southernempowerment.org

These wonderful artists see themselves as "vessels for the word, allowing
it to move through them in various forms of hip hop, jazz, spoken word, as
