Position Announcement

Executive Director, Chicago Coalition for the Homeless
The Chicago Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) organizes and
advocates to prevent and end homelessness.  Grounded in the
belief that housing is a human right in a just society, CCH
organizes people concerned about homelessness, including those
who are homeless.  CCH works to achieve systemic change through
advocacy, direct action, policy, and legal initiatives.  CCH
initiates campaigns and participates in local, statewide, and
national campaigns related to homelessness prevention.  Founded
in 1980, CCH works in Chicago and surrounding communities.  It
has a $1.4 million budget and a full- and part-time staff of 18
that includes attorneys, policy analysts, and organizers. CCH is
seeking an executive director to lead and manage the coalition
and its staff and to serve as the voice of CCH, its mission, and
its agenda. The executive director reports to the CCH board of
