I thought the co-list might be interested in this fascinating training
opportunity. Last year their Immersion Training attracted many
grassroots groups working on violence prevention and peace
promotion. Thanks and peace. Tom

Sustainability: Defining a Legacy, Creating Community Peace is an
intensive learning opportunity for teams of community stakeholders that
covers key elements to understanding how to nurture and maintain
successful community-based programs to prevent violence and
promote peace. The training aims to bring together representatives
from government, nonprofit entities, and community residents to learn
about and implement workable plans for sustaining their violence
prevention efforts. The largest capacity building training institute of its
kind, the Institute for Community Peace (ICP) trains teams from each
program to increase learning and long-term impact. Training includes
team assessment, peer exchange, hands-on exercises, skill building
and action planning.
