Director of Community Programs November 2001  

About Mothers' Voices  

	Mothers' Voices is the only national, grassroots, non-profit 
organization mobilizing parents 	as educators and advocates for 
HIV prevention.  

Position Summary  

	The Director of Community Programs is a full-time position 
based at MV's New York City office.  	The Director of Community 
Programs designs, implements and evaluates education and 
advocacy programs and campaigns.  	The Director of Community 
Programs is responsible for the promotion and marketing of parent 
education program initiatives. 	The Director of Community 
Programs reports directly to the Executive Director.  

Responsibilities  

*	Designs, implements, and evaluates education and 
advocacy programs related to HIV/AIDS prevention  

*	Develops program plans and program budgets, and works 
with Director of Development on grant proposals  

*	Develops collaborative partnerships with AIDS and sexual 
health organizations   

*	Represents Mothers' Voices on coalitions and at 
conferences  

*	Plans and coordinates national meetings, conferences, and 
trainings  

*	Supervises and trains program staff, training consultants 
and program volunteers  

*	Maintains Mothers' Voices website, www.mvoices.org  

*	Serves as staff representative on Public Policy Committee 
and Program Advisory Committee  

Qualifications	  

*	Five years experience in program planning, design, and 
evaluation, especially programs related to  HIV/AIDS prevention 
education and advocacy  

*	Five years experience in community organizing  

*	Experience in non-profit management  

*	Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating 
workshops and trainings for adults	  

*	Excellent written and oral presentation skills  

*	Experience in website maintenance  

*	Strong organizational skills and ability to successfully 
manage multiple tasks  

*	Commitment to the mission of Mothers' Voices  

*	Bilingual skills (Spanish and English) a plus
