CENTER FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLLABORATIVE 
STRATEGIES IN HEALTH  

DIVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH/THE NEW YORK ACADEMY OF 
MEDICINE  

Program Officer (Education, Training and Evaluation)  

Unique opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced professional 
to translate the Center's research results into practical tools and 
training programs for community-based partnerships.  The 
individual will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help 
partnerships create successful collaborative processes and 
effectively engage diverse people and organizations in addressing 
community health issues.  

Specific responsibilities of this position will include: designing 
innovative training programs and web-based tools for community-
based partnerships; creating workshops for large and small 
audiences; developing evaluation plans to assess the effectiveness 
of Center tools and programs; and reviewing relevant literature as 
needed.  

Applicants for this position must have:  1) a masters degree in 
public health, education, or related field; 2) at least five years' 
relevant work experience with a documented track record of 
designing and conducting workshops and training programs; 3) 
experience with program evaluation and distance learning; 4) 
experience working with or in community-based partnerships; 5) 
excellent verbal and written communication skills; 6) initiative, 
creativity, and flexibility; 7) the ability to work independently and in 
a team.
